The Photographer’s Eye Whether you photograph flowers or friends, in color or black and white, your concerns are the same – taking quality photographs that are meaningful and look good. This workshop will bring out and train your “photographer’s eye.” You will learn how to develop your own sense of style, how to critique your photos, and how to use the right tools and the right knowledge for the job. Dates: September 24, Wednesday evening, 6:00-8:30 pm Skill Level: Open. All camera owners, whether point–and-shoot, 35mm, or digital, will benefit from this class. Instructor: Sheldon Carpenter Fee: $59 Sheldon Carpenter. Sheldon has been working with digital imagery since 1990 when, as head of a photo department for a newspaper, he convinced his management to test the new Nikon D-1 digital camera, with a whopping 1.3 megapixels. From that point on, it was a rapid conversion to all digital imaging, which transported Sheldon to “digital heaven.” Sheldon has an MFA from the University of Oregon. He presently teaches digital photography and imaging at San Joaquin Delta College, The Institute of Technology in Modesto, and CSU Stanislaus.
